OUR THEOLOGY -> our history
Donovan Hill with his wife and two kids left their home in Louisiana to launch a church in Bel Air. The Hill family invested everything into the dream of a thriving life changing church existing in the Bel Air community. Gradually, the God devoted group grew in the Hill’s home, before moving into the basement of a daycare.

The Hill’s realized God was leading them in a new direction in ministry and life, and in 2003 Wade and Dawn Haskins accepted the lead pastorate position. Shortly thereafter, Way of Life felt the call of God to become a mobile church, symbolic of the desire of God to dwell not in a reclusive building visited once a week but in the midst of a sojourning community. Over the last four years, Way of Life Community has transitioned through different locations but consistently invested in people. Believing that the church is only discovered in the context of community, Way of Life has used its mobile capabilities to enrich and impact the lives of people where they live and interact. At Way of Life, it is not about buildings, it is all about people.

**What do you want to be? A question everyone struggles throughout life attempting to answer, we feel should also be asked of us as a community. Our answer is simple, we want to be. Regardless of the social, economical, political, cultural, or personal need, we want to be the catalyst that creates the opportunity for change to occur. Refusing to be ignorant of the issues affecting our community, locally and globally, we willingly walk into the abyss of hurt and pain, pouring out the resources of our time, energy, and finances into specific conquerable needs. By being the resource required for an individual need, we will be the living message of Christ creating life change in our community. What do we want to be? We will be…
